With a seating capacity of 430 people, the Katara Drama Theatre is suitable to host events of all types, including film screenings and other events. With the main stage of the theatre made to resemble traditional Arabian architecture, the ceiling creates the feeling of an open-air theatre.

Qatar National Theater

Museum Of Islamic Art

Distance to HIA: ~15 minutes Open Sunday/Monday/Wednesday 10.30am-5.30pm, Thursday & Saturday 12pm – 8pm, Friday 2pm – 8 pm. (closed Tuesday) The stunning Museum of Islamic Art, designed by I.M. Pei, famed for his modern wing of the Louvre in Paris, is an icon for art, culture and heritage, housing precious works from more than 200 years of Islamic civilization.  

Souq Al Dira

Distance from HIA: ~10-15 minutes Lantern lights, smooth floors, stained glass windows and arches invite visitors into this souq. Most of the stores in this souq specialize in high-end ‘designer’ fabric. Accessories, shoes, and Arabian perfume are also retailed here.

Omani Souq

Distance from HIA: ~11 minutes Located just behind the Salwa Central Market, the Omani Souq sells a variety of merchandise some of which include incense, plants, pottery, camel sticks, nuts, perfumes, and the like.
